Snowflakes is a family-friendly comic strip about a small orphanage high in the mountains, filled with imaginative, smart, and unusual kids. It’s brimming with humor, adventure, and intrigue!

Snowflakes was co-created by myself, James Ashby (story/plot), and Zach Weiner (scripting) in 2009. New strips are posed three times a week at www.snowflakescomic.com.

An unwitting family is accosted by a flock of seagulls as they try to enjoy a relaxing day at the beach. This 4 page comic was created for the Boldprint Book “For The Birds”, published by Rubicon/Harcourt Canada.

Captain Stupendous

Captain Stupendous is a sharp and witty send up of the superhero genre. Written by Zach Weiner. Published as a graphic novel, November 2010, by IDW Publishing.

Synopsis:

Captain Stupendous is having a bad… life. His ex-wife, Mrs. Mind, is marrying a mortal. His eldest son, Kid Liberty, may be gay. His daughter, Tesla Curl, can’t get a date to the prom. And, his mortal middle child… what’s-his-name… is, well, mortal. Over the course of a very long day-and-a-half, Captain Stupendous attempts to fix his daughter’s problems, work things out with the son he cares about, and do whatever he can to prevent Mrs. Mind (soon to be Mrs. Mind-Weatherby) from being happy without him.

Grumps

Grumps is a mature themed comic that I self published as a graphic novel in 2008. It was originally published online from 2006-2009.

Synopsis:

Some people age gracefully, like a fine wine, and others, well, they’re the Grumps! Grumps chronicles the outrageous adventures of the elderly within a retirement community which houses a wild assortment of corrupt staff, frightening nurses, drug abusing residents, vengeful old ladies, an incompetent doctor, a nazi chef, and a sex-crazed executive director.

Byron Pinkleton is a matured themed comic with an 18th century/steampunk flavour. It is updated occasionally online.

Synopsis:

Byron Pinkleton, a former business investor, has abandoned all monetary pursuits to dedicate himself to ridding the world of technology. The world in which Pinkleton travels in not set in any one time or era, but rather combines flavours from many parts of history to create a fantasy world rich with character, debauchery and adventure!

WhiskySours is a mature themed comic about two drunken losers. It was published online from 2003-2006. Written by Ron Cadieux. I self published this as a graphic novel in 2008.

Synopsis:

Two grown men who refuse to grow up, stir in lots of alcohol, shake it up and enjoy!
